TF Cornerstone and FundingPost Host NYC Summer Angel & Venture Networking Event at 505 West 37th Street
August 15, 2012

NEW YORK, NY – August 15, 2012 – Preeminent real estate development firm TF Cornerstone (TFC) recently partnered with FundingPost.com, an online entrepreneur-investor exchange, to host the 11th annual NYC Summer Angel & Venture Event and help launch the next generation of startup companies. Hosted at 505 West 37th Street (at 10th Avenue) on Aug. 9, the daylong educational seminar and workshop attracted approximately 300 professionals, venture capitalists and angel investors to the expansive lobby of TFC’s 43-story luxury rental building.

“As a company propelled by its founders’ entrepreneurial spirit, TF Cornerstone is proud to support FundingPost in its efforts to foster innovation and new industry,” said Sofia Estevez, Executive Vice President of leasing for TF Cornerstone. “It was wonderful to see so many bright and talented people come together in the beautiful, open lobby at 505 West 37th Street – it was the perfect space for such an occasion.”

Beginning with a light lunch in the grand foyer, the NYC Summer Angel & Venture Event featured an array of activities focused on early stage venture investing, from crowd-funding and venture capital panels to discussions of current trends and hot sectors, and elevator pitches. A lineup of expert guest speakers – including Rob Delman, Managing Director of Golden Seeds, and Tom Nicholson, Angel Investor at ARC Angel Fund, among others – offered advice on how to approach investors and navigate deal terms and valuations. The day’s functions concluded with a cocktail party that presented the perfect opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to mingle with investors and put their new networking skills to the test.

“There is nothing more satisfying than helping people connect, and I am so thankful we were able to partner with TF Cornerstone and utilize their exquisite space for this extremely successful event,” said Joe Rubin, Director and Co-Founder of FundingPost.

Perfectly situated in the chic Hudson Yards neighborhood, 505 West 37th Street offers a collection of luxury rental apartments ranging from studios to two-bedrooms. Each residence features floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, tall ceilings, modern appliances and spectacular views of Manhattan landmarks – from the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty to The High Line and beyond. All residents have access to the building’s second-floor landscaped terrace, which boasts a tranquil infinity reflecting pool, and the landscaped Sky Club rooftop deck, offering dramatic views of the city and Hudson River, along with the onsite Club Room, fitness center and a beautiful private garden. In addition, residents enjoy the convenience of on-site parking, valet services, Wi-Fi, 24-hour concierge and bicycle storage. The building is also pet-friendly.

Hudson Yards is one of New York City’s most vibrant new residential communities. Located on Manhattan’s far West Side along the Hudson River between West 30th Street and West 43rd Streets, the neighborhood is home to Jimmy Reardon’s Hudson Yards Café and new waterfront park areas. Mayor Bloomberg recently endorsed the area, saying that he hopes the Hudson Yards development site will eventually host Fashion Week in the new Culture Shed. Additionally, famed restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events has partnered with the ongoing Hudson Yards project.

Available luxury rentals start at $3,605 for one-bedrooms and $5,115 for two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments.
